A Meteor Block

Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars — points of light and reason… And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn’t see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything.

Edward Cullen, New Moon, Chapter 23, p.514

I borrowed this block from someone's icon on FB and drafted it in EQ.  Does it have a name?  I'd really like to know.  I think it makes a nice meteor block.

I'm hung up on fabric placement, though, once again.

Paper piecing pattern.

Whether or not this block works out or ever get used is a question.  The only other thing I can say is that it was nice to be back in EQ7 working again.
